Umezawa Sutejirou-Echoes in the Archive

活動簡介

臺南市美術館（以下簡稱南美館）1館建築（原臺南警察署）建立於西元1931年，由梅澤捨次郎所設計。2024年，經由工學院大學鈴木敏彥教授引介，梅澤捨次郎家屬將一批珍貴的檔案與照片贈與南美館。這批檔案入館後，便由南美館紙質修護師進行整飭與修護。檔案裡記錄著梅澤捨次郎生命裡的各個階段故事，本展除展示梅澤捨次郎的生平與建築特色外，更將文物的保存與修護融入展覽中，透過第一手檔案的整飭過程，構築梅澤捨次郎的一生。

展覽內容將包含三個面向：「梅澤捨次郎的生平」、「梅澤式建築風格」、「檔案的整飭與修護」

Tainan Art Museum (TAM) Building 1 (formerly the Tainan Police Agency) was established in 1931 and designed by architect Umezawa Sutejirou. In 2024, through the efforts of Professor Suzuki Toshihiko, the descendants of Umezawa Sutejirou generously donated a collection of invaluable archives and photographs to the museum. Following the arrival of the collections, these materials underwent a series of procedures of conservation by the museum paper conservators. The archives vividly recount various stages of Umezawa Sutejirou’ s life. The exhibition not only presents his biography and architectural contributions but highlights the preservation and conservation of historical paper relics. Through the restoration process of these first-hand documents, visitors will gain insight into the life of Umezawa Sutejirou.

1931年に竣工された臺南市美術館1號館（元臺南警察署）の設計は臺南州地方技師梅澤捨次郎が擔當された。2024年、臺南市美術館は日本工學院大學教授鈴木敏彥氏の紹介で、梅澤捨次郎のご遺族からその生涯を記録した貴重な書類と寫真を當館に寄贈された。その後、當館の修復師により修復された。この展示では梅澤捨次郎の生涯やその建築設計の特徴だけでなく、文化財の保存・修復の観念や過程も展示に取り入れることで、梅澤の生涯を構築する。

展示內容は「梅澤捨次郎の一生」、「梅澤の建築の様式」、「文化財の保存と修復」など、3つの主題に分けられる。
